The longitudinal multicenter observational study, whose launch is expected in the year 2016, is aimed at the control, evaluation, application and transferability of the organizational model’s principles and characteristics, as defined in the Consensus Document.

Therefore, this prospective study is meant to record, monitor and evaluate the integrated care path of people with chronic, complex, advanced and progressive conditions in need of palliative care.

The research will be developed in the following areas:

  • Accreditation of both the network and the organizational model
  • Academic education and continuing education
  • Usage of evaluation tools (NECPAL), made interoperable through ICT
  • Clinical (medicine and palliative care)
